iPod is a
brand of portable digital audio players created and sold by
Apple Computer. Devices in the iPod family offer a simple
user interface to store audio products. Most iPod models
store media on a built-in hard drive, but the smaller and
newer iPod shuffle and iPod nano use flash memory. Like most
other digital audio player, an iPod can serve as an external
storage device when connected to your computer.
The iPod
nano, introduced in September, 2005, is .27 inches (.685
centimeters) thick, weighs 1.5 ounces (42 grams), and is 62%
smaller by volume than its predecessor the iPod shuffle. The
iPod nano also introduced several new features including the
addition of world clocks, a stopwatch, and a screen lock
option.
